House bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 2, 3, 7 and
12, of the Acts of the General Assembly, passed at its Session
of 1876, Chapter 173, entitled an Act regulating the working
and proper ventilation of coal mines in Allegany and Garrett
Counties, and providing for the appointment of an Inspector
for said mines, and to re-enact the same with amendments.

On motion by Mr. Gorman,
The vote by which said bill had been passed,
Was reconsidered.
Also, returned

Senate bill entitled an Act to enable the qualified voters of
the Second, Third, Fifth and Sixth Election Districts, of
Queen Anne's County, to determine by ballot whether spirit-
uous or fermented liquors shall be sold in any of said dis-
tricts, or a license granted for the sale of the same.

Endorsed : "Passed by yeas and nays."
Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 3, 4, 5, 10,
11,12, 13 and 14, of an Act passed at the January Session of
the Legislature, 1876, Chapter 179, entitled an Act to repeal
Sections 58 to 64 inclusive, of the Public Local Laws of Bal-
timore County, entitled "Collectors," and Sections 78 to
90 inclusive, entitled "Treasurer," and re-enact the follow-
ing, &c., &c.

Which was read the first time, and referred to Senators
Freeman, Gorman and Lee,

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to repeal the 2d Section, of the
Act of General Assembly, passed at January Session, 1868,
Chapter 403, entitled an Act to provide for indexing the
records in the office of the Register of Wills for Allegany
County, and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to protect fish and water fowl in
the waters of the Elk River, in Cecil County, northward of
a line therein specified.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on the Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.
