House bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 118, of Article
18, of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "St. Mary's
County," sub-title "Sheriffs," as enacted by the Act of 1868,
Chapter 309, and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Which was read the first time, and referred to Senators
Combs, of St. Mary's, Wilson and Hill.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to lay out and establish a new
Election District in Frederick County out of part of Liberty1
District No. 8, to be called Linganore District, or Election
District No. 19.

Which was read the first time, and referred to Senators
Steiner, Freeman and Humphreys.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act giving the sanction of the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland to a devise and bequest in the
last will and testament of Hugh Kennedy, of Washington

County, deceased, to the Presbyterian Church of Hagerstown,
in said county.

Which was read the first time, and referred Vto the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

House bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 228, of Arti-
cle 93, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Tes-
tamentary Law," sub-title "Orphans' Court," &c., &c.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

Also, delivered.

House bill entitled an Act to incorporate Gaithers-
burg, in Montgomery County.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Corporations.
