ence of the President, Directors and Company of the Hagers-
town Bank.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 84 and 85,

and sub-section 1, of Section 87, of Article 11, of the Code of
Public Local Laws, entitled "Frederick County," sub-title
"Frederick," as enacted by Chapter 348, of the Acts of 1872,
relating to the corporate organization of Frederick City, and

to enact the following sections and sub-sections in lieu of the
same.

Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Bank of Cen-
treville, in Centreville, Queen Anne's County, Maryland.

Which was read the first time.
Also, favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Cecil Detec-
tive Association.

Also, favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 5, 8, 10 and
11, of an Act passed at the January Session, 1868, Chapter
40, entitled an Act to incorporate the Town of Westernport,
in Allegany County, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

On motion by Mr. Bannon, it was

Ordered, That the Standing Committees of Public Build-
ings in the matter of the Maryland Hospital at Spring Grove,
be authorized to examine witnesses under oath, and be em-
powered to send for persons and papers.

Mr. Cooper, from the Committee on the Chesapeake Bay
and its Tributaries, reported favorably the following bills:

entitled an Act to exempt all that portion of the waters of
the Chesapeake Bay, therein described, from the effect and
