Mr. Freeman submitted the following order,

Ordered, that the Finance Committee report forthwitk
the several Local Option, or Temperance bills now in their
hands.

Which was adopted, by yeas and nays, as follows :

Gorman,

The Hon. R. C. Hollyday, Secretary of State, appeared
and delivered a communication from the Executive endorsed
"Executive business."

Mr. Gorman, from the Committee on Finance, reported
favorably,

Honse bill entitled an Act to refund to Rebecca G. Gelston
and Isaac D. Jones, Administrators C. T. A., of Hugh Gel-
ston, Roxanna Marden, Executrix of Jesse Marden, Henry
Brown and Hamilton Easter, certain taxes erroneously paid.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Gorman, from the Committee on Corporations, re-
ported favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to amend the Act of 1874,
Chapter 365, entitled an Act to incorporate the Maryland
Canal Company, by repealing Sections 2 and 3, of said Act,
and by re-enacting the said sections in new and amended
forms.

Which was read the first time.
Also, favorably,

House bill entitled an Act supplement to the Act incorpor-
ating the Western Maryland Railroad Company.

Which was read the second time.
