sub-title "Frederick," as enacted by Chapter 348, of the-
Acts of 1872, relating to the corporate organization of Fred-
erick City, and to enact the following sections and sub-section
in lieu of the same.

Mr. Freeman, from a Select Committee, reported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act supplementary to an Act to in-
corporate companies to make several turnpike roads through
Baltimore County, and for other purposes, passed at January
Session, 1805.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Lancaster, from a Select Committee, reported favor-
ably the following bills :

House bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 70, of Article
9, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Charles County,"
and to re-enact the same with amendments.

House bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the
County Commissioners of Charles County to refund to Mrs.
Priscilla Smith, of said county, taxes erroneously paid upon
the county levies for the years of 1868, 1869, 1870, 1871,
1872 and 1873, amounting in the aggregate to $75.44.

Which were read the second time.
Mr. Cooper submitted the following message:

BT THE SENATE,

March 18th, 1878.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We respectfully ask your Honorable Body to return to the
Senate, for further consideration, the House bill entitled an
Act granting permission to the Poor Excursion Society of
Baltimore to use the ice boat "Maryland."

AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY,

Secretary.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House of
Delegates.

On motion by Mr. Cooper,

House bill entitled an Act to add additional sections to
Chapter 46, of the Acts passed at the January Session, 1876,
entitled an Act to regulate the sale of firewood in the City
of Baltimore, for the better protection of the produce dealer
and consumer, to be known as "Section 6 A,"

Was recommitted to the Select Committee.
