540 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 18,

Mr. McLane, from a Select Committee, reported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act passed at the
January Session of the General Assembly of Maryland,
1876, Chapter 20, entitled an Act to empower the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore, to purchase, lease or condemn
lands for public parks or squares within the limits of said
city, &c., &c.. &c.

Which was read the second time.
On motion by Mr. McLane,

The rules were suspended so as to give a third reading this
day, to said bill, by yeas and nays as follows :

AFFIRMATIVE.
