AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Add the following additional section:

"Section 7. Be it enacted, That the judgment, assessment
and report of the two persons, hereinbefore provided for to be
appointed by the Justice of the Peace, shall in no case be
taken and held to be conclusive and final, but either party on
trial shall be at liberty, and have the right to produce wit-
nesses to maintain or controvert all matters at issue in the
case, and the Court before which the case is to be determined,
shall give such judgment upon all the evidence as may seem
right and proper, and nothing in this Act contained shall be
taken or considered as giving jurisdiction to any Justice of
the Peace to hear and determine any cause, wherein the title
to land is concerned."

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time.
On motion by Mr. Miller,

House bill entitled an Act to permit the shooting of wild
fowl from sink boxes in the waters of the Elk and Bohemia
rivers and their tributaries, in Cecil County,

Was recommitted to the Select Committee.

Mr. Ford, from a Select Committee, reported favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Register of
Wills for Queen Anne's County to do and perform certain
work left unfinished by a former Register of Wills of said
county.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Humphreys, from a Select Committee, reported favor-
ably,

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Commissioners
of Wicomico County to levy taxes on the assessable property
of said county, for the purpose of creating a fund to liquidate
indebtedness to Worcester and Somerset Counties.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Newcomer, from a Select Committee, reported favora-

bly,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 144, 145, 146,
147, 148, 149, 150, 151, 152, 153, 154, 155, 156, 157, 158,
159, 160, 161 and 162, of Article 21, of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "Washington County," sub-title "Han-
cock," and to re-enact the same with amendments,

Which was read the second time.
