The following Senate bills having passed both branches of
the General Assembly of Maryland, were this day presented

to the Governor for bis approval.

AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY,
Secretary.

No. 91. An Act to prescribe and define the duties of the

Comptroller relative to the apportionment and distribution of
the revenue derived from the annual tax levied for the sup-
port of free public schools, and to confirm the apportionments

and distributions thereof heretofore made by that officer.

No. 92. An Act to amend the Act passed by the General
Assembly of Maryland at January Session, eighteen hundred
and fifty-three, Chapter one hundred and thirty-seven, enti-
tled an Act to incorporate the Patapsco Company by repeal-
ing Sections five and eleven of said Act, and re-enacting said
sections with amendments.

Mr. Stump presented the petition of B. Maurice, a citizen
of the State of Maryland, having for its object, the giving
to the State Board of Education full powers of control and
supervision over the management of the Maryland Agricul-
tural and St. John's Colleges, both in educational and finan-
cial matters.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Edu-
cation.

Mr. Hill presented the petition of Henry S. Taylor and
131 others, citizens of Prince George's County, praying for

a Local Option Law for said county.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Tem-
perance.
