County to levy a tax on dogs in said county, be, and is here-
by repealed and re-enacted to read as follows.

"Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That they shall levy, and
cause to be collected, the sum of fifty cents for one dog, and
one dollar for each additional dog, and one dollar for one
bitch, and two dollars for every additional bitch kept, owned
or possessed by each person named in such return as the
owner thereof.

"Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That the aforesaid Act of the
General Assembly is hereby added to, and made a part of
Article one, of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled
"Allegany County."

Which were adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time.

Mr. Combs, from a Select Committee, reported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Com-
missioners of Garrett County to refund to the Lochiel Lum-
ber, Mining, Manufacturing and Improvement Company of
Allegany County, certain taxes paid by it in error and excess.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Bannon, from a Select Committee, reported favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor, Coun-
sellor and Aldermen of the City of Annapolis to issue bonds
on the credit of the city to pay its debts.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Miller, from a Select Committee, reported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act for the protection of partridges,
pheasants, rabbits, woodcock and rail bird, and to prevent
trespassing with dog or gun on private property in Cecil
and Harford Counties,

With the following amendments :

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

1st. Strike out after the word "Cecil," in line 3, Section
1, the words "and Harford Counties," and insert the word
"county."

2d. Insert after the word "November," in line 4, Section
1, the following words, "and in Harford County, between
the 26th day of December and the 15th day of October."

3d. Strike out inline 2, Section 2, the words "shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor."
