Mr. Gorman, from the Committee on Corporations, reported
favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 99 and 102,
of Article 1, of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "Al-
legany County," sub-title ''Manufacturers and Miners," and
to re-enact the same with amendments,

With the following proposed amendments :
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

In the title strike out the words "Sections ninety-nine and
one hundred and two," and insert in lieu thereof "Section
ninety-nine."

In the enacting clause, strike out the words "Sections
ninety-nine and one hundred and two," and insert in lieu
thereof, "Section ninety-nine."

Strike out sub-Section one hundred and two.

Strike out the words "may in the exercise of a sound judi-
cial discretion," in sub-Sec. 99, and insert in lieu thereof the
word "shall."

Which were adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time.

Also, favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Green Ser-
pentine Marble Works of Harford County, Maryland,

With the following proposed amendment :
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

In line 19, Section 1, strike out after "Maryland," the
words "or elsewhere."

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time.

Also, favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore to protect its interest as creditor of, and
guarantor for, and stockholder in the Western Maryland
Railroad Company, and to convert the obligations of said
Company, now held, or hereafter to be held by the Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore, into the preferred stock of
said Company, &c.

Which was read the second time.
