Sec. 2, line 1, strike out the words "Be it enacted by the
General Assembly of Maryland," and insert in lieu thereof
the words "And be it enacted."

Which were adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time, and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

On motion by Mr. Sulivane, it was

Ordered, That Senate bills Nos. 55 and 57 be taken from,
the table and made the order of the day at 1 o'clock on to-
morrow, Wednesday.

On motion by Mr. Freeman, it was

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal that the Sena-
tor from Garrett County was absent from the Senate yester-
day on private business.

On motion by Mr. Stump,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to repeal Section
5, of Chapter 329, of Acts of 1867, entitled an Act to provide
for the selection, drawing and summoning of jurors in the
several counties, and prescribing their qualifications, and to
re-enact the same with amendments.

On motion by Mr. Sulivane,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to be entitled an Act for the better
regulation of the Comptroller's office and office of the Treasu-
rer of Maryland.

On motion by Mr. Humphreys,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to in-
troduce a bill to be entitled an Act to incorporate the Agri-
cultural and Mechanical Association of Wicomico County.

Mr. Cooper, from the Committee on the Chesapeake Bay
and its Tributaries, reported favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to amend Section 22, of Article
41, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Fish and
Fisheries," sub-title "Patuxent," regulating the right of
fishing in the Patuxent river and its tributaries, as amended
by the Act of 1874, Chapter 219, and to re-enact the same,
adding thereto the following sub-sections.
