Corporations and Companies," and the amendments thereto
made by Chapter 388, of the Acts of the General Assembly,
passed at the January Session, 1872, Chapter 400, of the Acts
of the General Assembly, passed at the January Session,
1874, and Chapter 248, of the Acts of the General Assem-
bly, passed at the January Session, 1876, and to repeal Sec-
tion 105, of Article 26, of the Code of Public General Laws,
title "Corporations," sub-title "Insurance Companies," and
the amendments made thereto by Chapter 9, of the Acts of
the General Assembly, passed at the January Session, 1874,
and to re-enact said Sections 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34,
35 and 36, of said Article 56, of the Code of Public General
Laws, title "Licenses," sub-title "Foreign Corporations and
Companies," and also to re-enact Section 105, of said Article
26, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Corpora-
tions," sub-title "Insurance Companies," with amend-
ments,

Was read the second time, and
On motion by Mr, McLane,

Made the order of the day for Tuesday, the 12th March,
inst.

Also, favorably, the following bills:

Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money
to pay Samuel Burgess, late Collector of State taxes in Kent
County, the amount overpaid by him into the Treasury.

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Board of Man-
agers of the Maryland House of Correction to hire convict
labor to the Maryland Canal Company, and prescribe the
manner of payment for the tunic by said Canal Company.

Which were read the first time.

Mr. Hill, from the Committee on Inspections, reported
favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 2 and 5, of
the Acts of 1872, Chapter 264, relating to the licensing of
gaugers of casks and liquids, in the City of Baltimore, and
to re-enact the same with amendments.

Which was read the first time, and ordered to be printed.

Mr. Combs, of St. Mary's, from the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings, reported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal the 32nd Section, of
Article 93, of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to
