Mr. Welfley, from a Select Committee, reported iavorably,

House bill entitled an Act to add a new article to the Code
of Public Local Laws, to be entitled "Garrett County."

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Freeman, from a Select Committee, reported favor-
ably,

House bill entitled an Act to authorize and direct the
County Commissioners of Baltimore County, to levy a sum of
money to pay certain Assessors appointed under the Act of
1876, Chapter 260, generally known as the Assessment Act.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Cooper, from a Select Committee, reported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact, with
amendments, Sections 1, 3, 4 and 5, of Chapter 46, of the
Code of Public Local Laws, passed at the January Session,
1876, entitled an Act to regulate the sale of fire-wood in the
City of Baltimore, for the better protection of the produce

dealers and consumers.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Joyce, from a Select Committee, reported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal Chapter 220, of the Acts
of 1876, entitled an Act to establish, a free bridge over the Pa-
tapsco River, at or near the present site of Light Street
Bridge, and to provide for free travel from Anne Arundel
County to Baltimore City, and to enact the following in lieu
thereof.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Freeman, from the Committee on Temperance, re-
ported favorably the following bills :

Senate bill entitled an Act to enable the qualified voters of
Carroll County to determine by ballot whether spirituous or
fermented liquors shall be sold in said county.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.

House bill entitled an Act to prohibit the granting of
license for the sale of spirituous or fermented liquors or lager
