On motion by Mr. Lee, it was
Ordered, That the Governor be requested to furnish to the
Senate a copy of the opinion furnished to him by the Hon.
Isaac D. Jones, upon the Maryland and Virginia Boundary
Line adjustment.
On motion by Mr. Cooper, it was
Ordered, That when the Senate adjourns to-day it stand
adjourned until Monday, the 11th inst., at 12 o'clock.
On motion by Mr. Dennis,
Leave was granted to Senators Dennis, Franklin and
Steiner to introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to authorize
the Register of Wills of Somerset County to have made a
new index of the last wills and testaments recorded in his
county.
On motion by Mr. Bannon,
Leave was granted to Senators Bannon, Wilson and Hep-
bron to introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to authorize the
Mayor, Counsellor and Aldermen of the City of Annapolis to
issue bonds of the said city to pay its debts.
On motion by Mr. Lee,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Temperance to in-
troduce a bill to be entitled an Act to enable the qualified
voters of Carroll County to determine by ballot whether spir-
ituous or fermented liquors shall be sold in said county.
On motion by Mr. Lancaster,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Temperance to in-
troduce a bill to be entitled an Act to enable the qualified
voters of Charles County, of this State, to determine by bal-
lot whether spirituous, fermented or other intoxicating li-
quors shall be sold in said county.
On motion by Mr. Wilson,
Leave was granted to Senators Wilson, Newcomer and
Joyce to introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to repeal Sec-
tion 72, of Article 5, of the Code of Public Local Laws, enti-
tled "Calvert County," sub-title "Sheriff," as amended by
the Act of 1874, Chapter 417, and to re-enact the same so as
to read as follows.
