AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Add the following to 1st Section :

"Provided, That nothing contained in this section shall
be construed to authorize any person to shoot wild fowl from
sink-boxes in the waters of the Elk River, northward of a
line drawn from Court-House Point, on the East side of said
River, to Oldfield Point on the west side of said river."

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time.

Mr. Stump, from a Seleet Committee, reported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to prevent the taking of fish
with pound nets in the waters of the Chesapeake Bay and its
tributaries bounding on and lying within Harford County,

With the following proposed amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Add to Section 1 : "Nothing herein contained shall pre-
vent any owner of land, bordering upon said waters, from
catching fish for the use of their families and employees, and
actually consumed by them ; provided such owners shall not
place nets in any channel of said waters, nor more than one-
fourth of the distance across any stream.

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read a second time.

Mr. Bannon, from a Select Committee, reported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 80, of Article
2, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Anne Arundel
County," sub-title "County Commissioners," as said section
was repealed and re-enacted by the Acts of the General As-
sembly of Maryland, passed at the January Session, 1874,
Chapter 485, and to re-enact said section.

With the following proposed amendment:
" AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Strike out "ten" and insert "five ;" Line 9, Section 1, af-
ter the word "mile," insert "each way."

"Which was adopted.

Said bill as amended was then read the second time.

Mr. Joyce, from a Select Committe, reported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 4, 6, 7, and 8,
of Chapter 504, of an Act passed January Session, 1874, en-
