Commissioners of said county to build a bridge over the Black
Water river in said county.

Which was read, and referred to Senators Sulivane, Stamp
and Steiner.

Also,

The petition of 42 citizens of Dorchester County, asking for
a poll tax in that county for the benefit of the public roads.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Fi-
nance.

On motion by Mr. Gorman,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce a bill to be entitled an Act to authorize the Board of
Managers of the House of Correction to hire convict labor to
the Maryland Canal Company, and prescribe the manner of
payment for the same by said Canal Company.

On motion by Mr. Gorman,

Leave was granted to the Committee OH Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to repeal Section.
3, Article 24, Code Public General Laws, title "Conveyan-
cing," and to re-enact the same so as to read as follows.

On motion by Mr. Sulivane,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to repeal Sec-
tion 11, of Article 10, of the Code of Public General Laws,
title "Attachments," and re-enact the same with amend-
ments, so as to read as follows.

On motion by Mr. Sulivane,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce a bill to be entitled an Act for the relief of Ambrose A.
Wilson, of Dorchester County.

On motion by Mr. Sulivane,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Chesapeake
Bay and its Tributaries to introduce a bill to be entitled an
Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments Chapter 437, of
the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at
January Session, 1874, and Chapter 405, of the Acts passed
at January Session, 1876, relating to the catching of oysters
with scoop, scrape or dredge, in the waters of Dorchester and
Talbot Counties.

On motion by Mr. Sulivane,

Leave was granted to Senators Sulivane, Stump and
Steiner to introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to authorize;
