On motion by Mr. Ford,
The vote by which

Senate bill entitled an Act to enable the qualified voters of
the 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th Election Districts of Queen Anne's
County, to determine by ballot whether spirituous or fer-
mented liquors shall be sold in any of said districts or a
license granted for the sale of the same,

Was ordered to be engrossed for a third reading,
Was reconsidered.

Mr. Ford submitted th« following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

In Section 1, line 15, strike out the word "the," and in-
sert "said," and in same line, strike out all after the word
"county," up to the word "and" in line 16.

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time, and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

On motion by Mr. Stump,
The vote by which

Senate bill entitled an Act to provide for the reference of
disputes between masters and workmen to arbitration,

Was ordered to be engrossed for a third reading,

Was reconsidered.

Mr. Stump submitted the following amendment :

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Add at the end of section 6,

"Such award shall remain four days in Court during its
sitting after the return thereof, before any judgment shall be
entered thereon, and if it shall appear to the Court within
that time, that the same was obtained by fraud or malprac-
tice, in, or by surprise, imposition or deception of the arbi-
trators, or without due notice to the parties or their Attor-
ney's, the Court may set aside such award and refuse to
give judgment thereon.

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.
