The President announced the second order of the day to be

House bill entitled an Act to regulate the fees of the State's
Attorney for Charles County,

The amendments submitted by the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings on the 21st ultimo, were adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the third time, and
passed by yeas and nays, as follows :

AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. President, Hill,
Bannon, Lee,
Combs, of Allegany, McLane,
Cooper, Peter,
Dennis, Stump,
Franklin, Sulivane,
Garey, Welfley—15.
Gorman,

NEGATIVE—None.

The President announced the third order of the day to be

Senate bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of the
Board of Trade of Baltimore City.

Pending the consideration thereof,
On motion by Mr. Bannon,

Said bill was referred to the Committee on Judicial Pro-
ceedings.

The President announced the fourth order of the day to be

Senate bill entitled an Act to provide for the reference of
disputes between masters and workmen to arbitration.

Said bill being upon its second reading,
Mr. McLane submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Strike out the words "masters and workmen" wherever
the same occur, and insert " employers and employees."

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time, and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.
