House bill entitled an Act to protect the oysters in the
waters of the Great and Little Choptank rivers, and prohibit
the taking thereof in the months of June, July and August,
except for bedding the same in the waters of the Great and
Little Choptank rivers.

House bill entitled an Act to repeal Chapter 214, of the
Acts passed at January Session, 1874, relating to catching
oysters with scoop in Dorchester County, and to re enact the
same with amendments.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Gornian, from the Committee on Finance, reported
favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to prevent the sale of spirituous
and fermented liquors within the distance of one-half mile
from the main exhibition hall of the Agricultural and Me-
chanical Society of Harford County, during the days of any
exhibitions of said Society,

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Dennis, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to add an additional section to
Article 30, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled
''Crimes and Punishments," sub-title "Rebypothecation."

Which was read the second time.

Also, favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to add an additional section to
Article 30, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled

"Crimes and Punishments," sub-title ''Embezzlements," to
provide for the punishment of embezzlements.

With the following amendments :

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

1st. Amend the title by striking out "embezzlements,"
and insert "embezzling property and writings," in both
places in the title.

2nd. Strike out "embezzlement," in third line of first
Section, and insert "embezzling property and writings."

3rd. After the word "State," in the seventh line, insert

"exclusively.''

4th. After the word "shall," in the eighth line, insert
the word "fraudulently."
