On motion by Mr. Gorman,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce a bill to be entitled an Act to amend Article 24, of the
Code of Public General Laws, title "Hospital, Maryland,"
by repealing Sections 1, 4, 8 and 11 of said Article.

Mr. Gorman submitted the following message :

BY THE SENATE,

March 1st, 1878.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We respectfully ask your Honorable Body to return to the
Senate, for further consideration, the House bill entitled an
Act to repeal Sections 99 and 101 of the Code of Public Local
Laws, entitled "Allegany County," sub-title "Miners and
Manufacturers," and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

Secretary.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House of
Delegates.

Mr. Lee, from the Committee on Inspections, reported fa-
vorably,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 11 and 15, of
the Act of the General Assembly, passed at its Session of
1872, Chapter 153, entitled an Act to provide for the inspec-
tion of steam boilers in the City of Baltimore, and to re-enact
the same with amendments.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Lee, from the Committee on Inspections, reported

House bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 4, 6, 7 and 8,
of Chapter 504, of an Act passed January Session, 1874, en-
titled an Act to regulate the manufacture and sale of oil for
illuminating purposes, and repealing the Acts enumerated
therein, and re-enact the same with amendments,

With the recommendation that it be referred to the Bal-
timore City Senators, and confined to Baltimore City alone.

Said bill was then read the second time, and referred to
the Baltimore City Senators.

Mr. Sulivane, from the Committee on the Chesapeake Bay
and its Tributaries, reported favorably the following: bills :
