Session, 1876, entitled an Act to prevent stock from running
at large ia Baltimore County, within five miles of Baltimore

City,

With the following amendment.

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

At the end of the first section add the words "provided,
however, that the provisions of this Act shall not apply to
that portion of the 13th Election Dis rict south of the Balti-
more and Ohio Railroad."

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time.

Mr. Newcomer, from a Select Committee, reported favora-

bly,

House bill entitled an Act to appropriate certain fines and
forfeitures to purchase a law library in the place of the one
destroyed by fire, for the Circuit Court for Washington
County,

With the following amendments.

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Section 1, strike out the words "and forfeitures" before
the word "imposed," and insert after said word, "imposed,"
the words "and forfeitures declared."

Strike out the words "upon persons in said Court."

Strike out, in last line, the words "use of the public," and
add after the word "Court," the following : "for the use of
the Court, members of the bar and others."

Which were adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time.

Mr. Hill, from a Select Committee, reported favorablyj

House bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act passed January
Session, 1876, Chapter 48, entitled an Act to regulate the
closing of roads in Prince George's County, and to enact the
following instead thereof.

With the following amendment,

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

In Section 2, line 6, strike out the words "upon said report
to close or straighten said public roads," and insert in lieu
thereof the words "to adopt or reject said report."

Which was adopted.
