the Act of incorporation of Princess Anne, in Somerset
County.

On motion by Mr. Bannon,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce a bill to be entitled an Act to pay the expenses of trials
and jail fees in cases for violation of the oyster law, out of
the fines imposed in the trial of the cases.

The Hon. R. C. Hollyday, Secretary of State, appeared
and delivered a communication from the Executive, endorsed
"Executive business."

Mr. Dennis, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to regulate the fees of the
State's Attorney for Charles County,

With the following amendments :

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

1st amendment. Strike out all of the first section of the
hill after the word "traversed" to the end of the 1st section.

2nd amendment. Insert in the first line of the second sec-
tion after the word "county" as follows : "in their discretion,
upon the recommendation of the Circuit Court for said,
county."

3rd amendment. And strike out the words "one thousand"
wherever it occurs, and insert "eight hundred,"

Pending the consideration of said amendments,
On motion by Mr. Lancaster,

The further consideration of said bill was postponed until
Tuesday, the 26th inst.

Mr. Gorman, from the Committee on Corporations, report-
ed favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to amend the Act of 1853,
Chapter 137, entitled "an Act to incorporate the Patapsco
Company," by repealing Sections 5 and 11 of said Act, and
re-enacting said sections with amendments.

Which was read the first time, and

On motion by Mr. Bannon,
Ordered to be printed.

Mr. McLane, from the Committee on Finance, reported
favorably the following bills :
