Mr. Gorman, from the Committee on Corporations, report-
ed favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to amend an Act to incorporate
the Principio Manufacturing Company, Chapter 113, of the
Acts of 1867, and to change the name of said corporation to
"The George P. Whitaker Company."

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Ford from a Select Committee, reported favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to enable the qualified voters of
the 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th Election Districts of Queen Anne's
County, to determine by ballot whether spirituous or fer-
mented liquors shall be sold in any of said districts, or a li-
cense granted for the sale of the same.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Commit-
tee on Finance.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared, and deliv-
ered the following bills :

House bill entitled an Act to give and declare the sanction
and consent of the General Assembly of Maryland, to the
gift of a piece or parcel of land by Alfred C. Nowland, of
New Castle, Delaware, to the vestry of St. Stephens' Church,
North Sassafras Parish, in Cecil County, State of Maryland.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

Hoase bill entitled an Act to create a new Election Dis-
trict in Montgomery County, to be known as Bethesda Dis-
