Judge of the First Judicial Circuit, and Associate Judge of
the Court of Appeals, be and the same is hereby extended
and the said James A. Stewart continued in office as Chief
Judge of the First Judicial Circuit, until the Tuesday after
the first Monday of November, in the year one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-two, and until his successor is
elected and qualified.

Which was read the first time.
On motion by Mr. Dennis,

The rules were suspended, so as to give a second reading
this day to said Resolution, by yeas and nays, as follows:

Mr. McLane, from the Committee on Finance, reported fa-
vorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to provide for the payment of
the expenses incurred on the part of the State of Maryland
in the adjustment of the boundary line between the States of
Maryland and Virginia by arbitration, and to appropriate a
sum of money therefor.

Which was read the first time.
On motion by Mr. McLane,

The roles were suspended so as to give a second reading
this day to said bill, by yeas and nays, as follows:
