sert the word "any."

Same line, same section, after the words "a majority,"
insert the words "in amount."

Same line, same section, after the words "of said bonds,"
insert the words "issued and then outstanding."

Line 31, same section, strike out the word "thereupon,"
and insert "upon."

Which were adopted.

Mr. McLane submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Page 6, Section 2, after the words "executed to," insert
"George S. Brown. James Sloan, Jr., and Lloyd Lowndes,
Jr."

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time, andi
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

House bill entitled an Act to sanction, confirm and make
valid a bequest of five hundred dollars in the will and testa-
ment of Ursula Wilcoxon, late of Montgomery County, de-
ceased, to the Vestry of Prince George's Parish, in said
county, and to authorize and empower said vestry to take
and receive the same and hold it subject to the provisions of
said will,

Being upon its third reading,

Mr. Peter submitted the following amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
At the end of Section 1, insert the following :

"This Act is in no manner to affect the legal construction
of the said last will and testament, or impair any rights of
the devisees or legatees, but its intendment is simply to re-
lieve the said Christ Church, Prince George's Parish, from
the constitutional prohibition now existing under Article 38
of the Declaration of Eights, only conferring upon the said
Christ Church, Prince George's Parish, such rights, and
none others, to assert its claims to the said legacy as it would
possess did no such constitutional prohibition exist."

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the third time, and
passed by yeas and nays as follows :
