Senate bill entitled an Acb to repeal au Act of the Gene-
ral Assembly of Maryland of 1876, Chapter 62, entitled an
Act to prevent the increase of gates upon the public roads of
Calvert County.

Senate bill entitled an Act assigning the interest of the
State of Maryland in certain personal assets of Cyntice Can-
non, a deceased intestate, born out of wedlock, unto Catha-
rine M. Cannon, of Dorchester County.

Senate bill entitled an Act to create a new Election Dis-
trict in Montgomery County, to be known as Darnestown
District, No. 6, or the Sixtb Election District of Montgomery
County.

Senate bill entitled an act to authorize Robert S. Emory to
fill up a dock at Chestertown.

Senate bill entitled an Act to make effectual the provisions
made by the Act of December Session, 1844, Chapter 281,
entitled an Act to provide for the completion of the Chesa-
peake and Ohio Canal to Cumberland, and for other pur-
poses, in so far as said Act relates to putting and keeping
the said Chesapeake and Ohio Canal in good condition and
repair, and to make the said Canal an effective means of
transportation,

Being upon its second reading,
Mr. Stump submitted the following amendments:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Page 6, Section 2, line 12, after the words "of the bonds,"
insert "issued and then outstanding."

Line 13, same section, after the words "any Court of,"
strike out the words "competent jurisdiction in the State of
Maryland," and insert "Equity in the State of Maryland,
having jurisdiction by."

Line 23, same section, after the words "of said bonds,''
insert the words "issued and then outstanding."
