On motion by Mr. Stump,
Was recommitted to the Select Committee.

Mr. Dennis, from a Select Committee, reported favorably
the following bills:

House bill entitled an Act to encourage the destruction of
large Hawks and Owls in Somerset County.

Also,

House bill entitled an Act for the protection of insectiver-
ous birds in Somerset County.

Also.

House bill entitled an Act to create a new election district
in Somerset County, and comprising all that territory be-
longing to the State of Maryland, on Smith's Island.

Which were read the second time.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 90, of Article
12, of the Public Local Laws, title "Harford County," sub-
title "Notices."

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 6, of Chapter
277, of the Acts of 1876, relating to oysters and fish in the
waters of Synepuxent Bay and its tributaries, and to re-en-
act the following in lieu thereof,

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the
Governor to appoint an additional Justice of the Peace in
the Second Election District in Kent County,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The Hon. B. C. Hollyday, Secretary of State, appear-
ed and delivered a communication from the Executive, en-
dorsed "Executive Business."

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal the 41st Section of
the 29th Article, of the Code of Public General Laws, enti-
tled "Courts," and to re-enact the same as follows.

Being upon its second reading,

The amendment submitted by Mr. Dennis on the 30th of
January, was adopted.

Said bill as amended, was then read a second time, and

ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.
