State Librarian to subscribe to 250 copies of Wm. H. S. Bur-
gwyn's Digest of the Maryland Reports, &c.

Mr. Gorman, from the Committee on Corporations, re-
ported favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to prescribe and define the
duties of the Comptroller of the Treasury relative to the
apportionment and distribution of the revenue derived from the
annual tax levied for the support of free public schools, and
to confirm the apportionments and distributions thereof, here-
tofore made by that officer.

Which was read the first time, and ordered to be printed.

Mr. Wilson, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act giving the sanction of the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland to a gift by Charles S. Parran,
of Calvert County, of 75 shares of the stock of the National
Mechanics' Bank of Baltimore, to the vestry of St. Paul's
Parish, in Calvert County, by Charles S, Parran, of said
County.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Hepbron, from a Select Committee, reported favorably,
Senate bill entitled an Act to enable the qualified voters of
Kent County to determine by ballot whether spirituous or
fermented liquors shall be sold in said county, or in any
Election District thereof, or a license granted for the sale of
the same.

On motion by Mr. Gorman,
Was referred to the Committee on Finance.
Mr. Hill, from a Select Committee, reported favorably,

House bill entitled ap Act to regulate the pay of the State's
Attorney for Prince George's County, with the following
amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

ID Section 3, line 7, after the word ''dollars" insert the
words "in any one year. "

Which was adopted.
