On motion by Mr. Newcomer,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill, to be entitled an Act granting the
sanction of the General Assembly of Maryland, to the gift,
devise and bequest in the last will of Sarah Heller, late of
Washington County, deceased, to the German Reformed
Church of Clearspring, Washington County, Maryland.
On motion by Mr. Humphreys,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill, to be entitled an Act to repeal Sec-
tion 16, of Article 29, of the Code of Public General Laws,
as enacted by Chapter 320, of the Acts of 1874, and to amend
and re-enact the same.
On motion by Mr. Wilson,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce a bill, to be entitled an Act to pay John W. Denton
and Zachariah Bowen, certain sums of money due to them
respectively for services rendered in the State Tobacco Ware-
house No. 2.
On motion by Mr. Wilson,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce a bill, to be entitled an Act to refund to John H. Basford,
Clerk of the Circuit Court for Calvert County, a sum of
money erroneously paid into the Treasury.
On motion by Mr. Hepbron,
Leave was granted to Senators Hepbron, Cooper and
Combs, of St. Mary's to introduce a bill, to be entitled an
Act to provide an additional Justice of the Peace for the
Second Election District of Kent County.
On motion by Mr. Gorman,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce a bill to be entitled an Act to add additional sections to
Article 81, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Rev-
enue and Taxes, " and to repeal all laws inconsistent with
the provisions of said sections.
