On motion by Mr. Steiner,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to in-
troduce a bill to be entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor,
Aldermen and Common Council of Frederick to borrow a
sum of money, not exceeding in the aggregate fifteen thou-
sand dollars, to meet the cost of an additional introduction and
distribution of water in the City of Frederick, and to issue
bonds for the same.

On motion by Mr. Wilson,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to give the sanc-
tion of the General Assembly of Maryland to a gift of
seventy-five shares of the stock of the National Mechanics'
Bank of Baltimore, to the vestry of St. Paul's Parish, in Cal-
vert County.

Mr. Gorman, from the Committee on Corporations, re-
ported favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act to authorize
a reduction of the capital stock of the New Central Coal

Company, passed at January Session, 1874, Chapter 287,
and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Assembly of Maryland, of 1876, Chapter 62, entitled an
Act to prevent the increase of gates upon the public roads of
Calvert County.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 138, of the
Acts passed at the January Session, 1874, Chapter 483, en-
titled an Act to repeal Article 81, of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws, of the State of Maryland, entitled "Revenue and
"Taxes, " and to re-enact the same with amendments, and to
amend and re-enact the said Section 138,
