Mr. Steiner submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Printed bill, page 3, line 20, insert after the word "each, "
the words "one hundred and. "

Which was rejected.

Said bill was then read a second time, and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact Section
66, of Article 51, of the Code of Public General Laws, of
the State of Maryland, relating to judgments of Justices of
the Peace,

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize Robert S. Emory
to fill up a dock at Chestertown,

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act in relation to the road running
to Brent's Landing, on Port Tobacco Creek, from the point
of its intersection with the public road, to Cedar Point Neck,
in Charles County,

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 41, of Article
29, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Courts, "
and to re-enact the same, as follows,

Being upon its second reading,
On motion by Mr. Dennis,

Was recommitted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings.

Senate bill entitled an Act to create a new Election Dis-
trict in Montgomery County, to be known as Darnestown
District, No. Six, or the Sixth Election District of Mont-
gomery County,

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act for the Prevention of Cruelty to
Animals, in the State of Maryland,
