in the year 1903, and also to authorize and direct the
Comptroller to apportion to said county the instal-
ment known as the 'March Instalment of the State
School Tax for the year 1904,' said instalment being
the apportionment made to said Garrett county on the
fifteenth day of March in each year.' "
On morion of Mr. Howard,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means, to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to pay the
School Commissioners of Garrett county a sum of
money out of the State School Tax."
On motion of Mr. Lipman,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means, to introduce a bill entitled "An Act prevailing
for refurnishing, remodelling and rehabitating the
Executive Mansion, and appropriating a sum of money
not exceeding twenty-fire thousand dollars ($25,000),
to defray the cost thereof."
On motion of Mr. Bennett,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to require all
railroad companies and corporations, and all persons
running or operating cars or coaches by steam on any
railroad] line or track in the counties of Somerset,
Wicomico, Dorchester. Talbot, Caroline, Worcester,
Queen Anne's and Kent, in the State of Maryland, for
the transportation of passengers, to provide separate
cars or coaches for white and colored passengers with
out any difference or discrimination in the quality ot
or convenience or accommodation in such cars and
coaches."
On motion of Mr. Amiss,
Leave was granted to the Montgomery delegation to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-
enact section 84 of the charter of the Town of Gaithers-
burg, in Montgomery county, as enacted by chapter
526 of the laws of the General Assembly of 1808.
