NIGHT SESSION.

MONDAY, March 14th, 1904.

The House met at 8 o'clock, p. m., and was opened
with prayer by the Rev. Mr. Marzecke.

Present at call of the roll the following members:

Messrs. Speaker, Buckler, Gibbs, Atwell, Downs,
Lowman, Bond, Simmons, Smoot, Walbach, Benson,
Cockey, Dodson, Jackson, Milbourne, Miles, Riggan,
Murphy, of Dorchester, Keys, Hill, Ray, Tighe, Walls,
Butler, Wilson, Carey, Kirbin, Crawford, Harrison,
Harry, Hiteshew, Smith, Andrew, Carroll, Hitchcock,
McComas, Goslin, Willey, Becker, Lipman, Norris,
Hall, Murphy, of Baltimore city, Orem, Roth, Bouchet,
Dawkins, Durham, Grant, Moore, Godwin, Henkel,
Miller, Pairo, Baker, Bingham, Charles, Tennant,
Johnston, Lansdale, Williams, Drumm, Feaga, Loar,
Stump, Jenkins, Fuss, Haines, Kain, Oursler, Gill,

The Journal of March 11th, 1904, was read and
approved.

PETITIONS, MEMORIALS AND OTHER PAPERS.
Mr. Dodson presented petition from Jno. F. Bey-
nard and 172 other citizens of Talbot county, protest-
ing against the enactment of the Hainan Oyster Bill.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Chesapeake Bay and Tributaries.

Mr. Godwin presented petition of Grace Steele Allen
and a number of other students of St. Mary's Reform
School, asking for an appropriation.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Ways and Means.
