Mr. Tennant submitted the following
JOINT RESOLUTION:

Whereas, The Legislature of Virginia has passed a
Joint Resolution requesting the Governor of that
State to invite the co-operation and assistance of each
and every State in this Union to be suitably and ap-
propriately represented at the Jamestown Exposition
to be held May, 1907—

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Wavs and Means.

REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES.
Mr. Johnston, from Judiciary Committee, reported
favorably,

House bill, File No. 184, entitled "An Act to repeal
chapter 532, of the General Assembly of Maryland,
session of 1902, entitled 'An Act to repeal section 38 A,
of Article 54 of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland, title 'Land Office,' added by chapter 191,
passed at January session of 1894, and to re-enact the
same with amendments."

Which was read the second time and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.

Also favorably, with amendments.

Senate bill, File No. 145, entitled "An Act to repeal
Article 16, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
'Montgomery County,' sub-title 'Liquor and Intoxica-
ting Drinks,' section one hundred and thirty-three
(133), and section one hundred and thirty-four (134),
as amended by Act 1894, chapter 528, and re-enact the
following in lieu thereof."

Which was adopted.

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

By Montgomery Delegation:

Strike out all after the words "A Bill" and insert
the following in lien of the same:

"Entitled An Act to repeal sections 188 and 134 of
Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
'Montgomery County,' sub-title 'Liquor and Intoxica-
ting Drinks,' as amended by fhe Act of 1894, chapter
