Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Temperance (hereafter to be appointed).

ORDERS.

On motion of Mr. Collins, it was
Ordered, That a committee of wo be appointed by
the Speaker to escort the Senators to the hall of the
House at noon, when the Joint Session will be held,
to ballot for a United States Senator.

On motion of Mr. Cockey, it was

Ordered, That Isaac Benesch & Sons, be paid thirty-
four dollars and fifty cents ($34.50) for furniture for
use of committee room for Committee on Claims.

Which was read and referred to Committee on
Claims.

On motion of Mr. Roth, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Morrison be excused from today's
attendance on account of illness.

On motion of Mr. Godwin, it was

Ordered, That the Librarian be and is hereby in-
structed to furnish the newspaper reporters with the
stationery required by them for the performance of
their duties.

Which, was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Dennis, it was

Ordered, That Arron Hudson be paid nine days' per
diem and mileage, as doorkeeper of House of Dele-
gates, for the session of 1904.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Claims.

On motion of Mr. Atwell, it was

Ordered, That Ernest Duvall be paid thirty dollars;
($30) for moving safe from old Speaker's room to
Chief Clerk's room in new building.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Claims.
