WEDNESDAY. January 20, 1904.

"The House met at 11 a. m., and was opened with
prayer by the Rev. Mr. Maloy.

Present at the call of the roll the following members:

The Journal of January 19th was read and ap-
proved.

PETITIONS, MEMORIALS, &c.

Mr. Wingate presented a petition from the Town
Commissioners of Hurlock, Dorchester county, asking
State aid for High school for said town.

Which was read and referred to the Dorchester dele-
gation.

Mr. Harry presented a petition from Harlan J.
Beard and others, asking legislation prohibiting the
