The Journal of Monday night, was read and ap-
proved.

The testimony in the contested election case of
Paddy and Chaney vs. Bond and Simmons was re-
ferred to the Committee on Elections.

The Speaker announced the following Committee on
Claims:

Messrs. Collins, Chairman; Downs, Hall, Cockey,
Fuss, Gibbs, Tighe, Lansdale, Bond.

ORDERS.

On motion of Mr. Bosse, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Becker be excused from to-day's
session on account of business.

On motion of Mr. Bosse, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Reed be excused from attend
ance at to-days session on account of sickness.

On motion of Mr. Carroll, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Hitchcock be excused from to-
day's session on account of sickness.

On motion of Mr. Roth, if. was

Ordered. That Mr. Trager be excused from to-day's
attendance on account of important business.

On motion of Mr. Loar. it was

Ordered, That Mr. Feaga be excused on account of
