Mr. Jackson, presented petition from H. R. Howeit
and 88 other citizens of Talbot county, pretesting
against the enactment of the Hainan Oyster Bill.

Which was referred to Committee on Chesapeake
Bay and Tributaries.

Mr. Wells presented petition of a large number of
the citizens of Prince George's county, requesting:
that politics be elminated from the management of
road affairs, by requiring a representative of the
minority party in every District Board of Trustees.

Which was referred to Committee on Roads and
Highways.

ORDERS.

On motion of Mr. Milbourne, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Riggan be excused from today's
session on account of business.

On motion of Mr. Haines, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Kain be excused on account of
business.

On motion of Mr. Goslin, it was

Ordered, That the use of the chamber of the House
of Delegates be granted to the representatives of the
Public School forces of the State, on Thursday next,
3rd inst., between the hours of 11 o'clock, a. m., and
12 o'clock, noon, for the purpose of meeting the Edu-
cational, the Finance and the Ways and Means Com-
mittees of the Legislature, at which time and place
they desire to express their views on the subject of
public education.

On motion of Mr. Wells, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Butler be excused to-day on ac-
count of business.

On motion of Mr. Bosse, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Becker be excused from attend-
ance of to-day's session on account of business.

On motion of Mr. Gill, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Pearre be excused from attend-
ing to-day's session on account of important business.
