On motion of Mr. Crawford, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Smith be excused from to-day's
session on acrount of important business.
By Mr. Godwin,

Whereas, The recent conflagration in Baltimore city
requires the passage of legislation for the relief of
said city; and

Whereas, Said legislation, in order to afford efficient
relief should be considered without delay.

Ordered, By the House of Delegates, that all
measures relating to the relief of Baltimore city, shall
be given precedence over all other legislation and
made the special order from, day to day until finally
disposed of.

And on motion laid on the table by yeas and nays
