peake Bay and its Tributaries.

ORDERS.

On motion of Mr. Henkel, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Lock be excused on account of
sickness.

On motion of Mr. Lansdale, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Johnston be excused from to-
day's session on account of important business.

On motion of Mr. Bingham, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Baker be excused from to-day's
session on account of important business.

On motion of Mr. Henkel, it was
Ordered, That the janitor of the building be in-
structed to place a light in the vestibule leading to
the House from the lobby.

Which was referred to the Committee on Buildings.

On motion of Mr. Hall, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Roth be excused from attendance
at this day's session on account of business.

INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.
By Mr. Smith,

A bill entitled "An Act to provide for the further
extension of the charter and corporate existance of the
Woodsboro and Frederick Turnpike Road Co., and to
repeal sections 7, 10, 13 and 18 of chapter 304, of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, session of
1853, entitled 'An Act to incorporate a company to
build a turnpike road from Woodsboro to Monocacy
bridge, on the road leading to Frederick city, and to
re-enact said sections 7, 10, 13 and 18 of said chapter
304 of the Acts of the Assembly of the session of 1853,
with amendments.' "

Which was read the first time and referred to the
Committee on Corporations.
