The Journal of February 24th was read and ap-
proved.

PETITIONS, MEMORIALS AND OTHER PAPERS.

Mr. Jackson presented petition of Charles L. Faulk-
ner and 106 others asking that scraping season for
oysters in the Choptank river shall commence on the
first day of October in each and every year.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Chesapeake Bay and Tributaries.

Mr. Collins presented petition of James B. Parrott
and 68 other citizens of Trappe District of Talbot
county, opposing the Haman Oyster Bill.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Chesapeake Bay and Tributaries.

Mr. Butler presented petition of J. B. Rhodes and
363 other citizens of Fifth District, of Queen Anne's
county, opposing the Haman Oyster Bill.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Chesapeake Bay and Tributaries.

Mr. Harry presented petition of Samuel G. Peters,
et al., favoring the continued sale of liquor within two
and one-half miles of Mountain School House for
white children in Urbana District, Frederick county.

Which was read and referred to the Frederick
delegation.

Mr. Atkinson presented six petitions signed by Jas.
A. Casey, and a large number of other citizens of Kent
county, protesting against the passage of the Haman
Oyster bill.
