On motion of Mr. Bouchet,

Leave was granted to the Judiciary Committee to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to add an additional
section to Article 9, Code of Public General Laws, title
'attachments.' "

On motion of Mr. Linthicum,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to make an
appropriation for the iceboat Annapolis."

On motion of Mr. Keys,

Leave was granted to the Cecil delegation to intro-
duce a bill entitled "An Act to authorize the Presi-
dent and Commissioners of Chesapeake city to issue
bonds of said town to pay off the indebtedness of said
town growing out of a suit of Mrs. Agnes T. Emmons
and otherwise."

On motion of Mr. Henkel,

Leave was granted to the Baltimore city delegation
to intro'duce a bill entitled "An Act to regulate fire
escapes and water plugs in public buildings, theatres
and warehouses and factories, in the city of Balti-
more."

On motion of Mr. Johnston,

Leave was granted to the Montgomery county dele-
gation to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to regulate
automobiles in Montgomery county."

ELECTION OF TREASURER.
On motion of Mr. Andrews,

The House proceeded to make nominations for State
Treasurer.

Mr. Andrews nominated the Hon. Murray Vandiver.

Mr. Godwin nominated the Hon. Thos. J. Shryock.

The Speaker appointed Messrs. Dennis and God-
win, tellers on the part of the House.

The hour of 12.15 having arrived,

The Clerk called the roll, a quorum being present.
