LEAVES TO INTRODUCE BILLS.
On motion of Mr. Linthicum,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Jadiciary
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to authorize and
empower the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to
submit any question to popular vote, and to add an
additional section to Article 33 of the Code of Public
General Laws, entitled 'Election,' providing for such
submission, to be known as 'section 50,' to follow sec-
tion 50 of said Article."
On motion of Mr. Norris,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to appro-
priate a certain sum of money to J. J. Leonard Hoff-
man, secretary of the Chickamauga Chattanooga Mon-
ument Commission of Maryland, for monies advanced
in defraying the necessary expenses of said commis-
sion, the Legislative appropriation for the purpose
having proven insufficient.
On motion of Mr. Harrison,
Leave was granted to the Frederick county delega-
tion, to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to lay out and
establish a new election district in Frederick county,
out of the second precinct of Election District No. 12,
said new election district to be known as Brunswick
District, or Election District No. 25."
Also,
Leave was granted to the Frederick delegation to
introduce to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to pro-
hibit the issuing of licenses to sell spirituous or fer-
mented liquors in the village of Point of Rocks, in
Frederick county, or within two miles thereof in said
county."
On motion of Mr. Goodwin,
Leave was granted to the Judiciary Committee to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to make valid deeds,
mortgages, bonds or conveyance and bills of sale de-
fective in the acknowledgment or in the certificate
thereof."
On motion of Mr. Green,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore county delega-
