On motion of Mr. Murphy, of Baltimore city; it
was

Ordered. That Mr. Morrison be excused from at-
tendance at this day's session on account of sickness.
On motion of Mr. Roth, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Traeger be excused from attend-
ance this day on account of important business.
On motion of Mr. Kain, it was

Ordered, That the Speaker designate one of the
pages of this House, to be known as "chief page,"
whose duty in addition to assisting to do the work,
shall be to instruct and supervise the other pages and
see that the Journal and Bill files of the members are
all kept in proper order.

Which was rend and referred to the Committee on
Rules.

On motion of Mr. Duvall, it was

Ordered, That J. Oliver Martin be constituted the
Library clerk to the House of Delegates, and it shall
be his duty to be present at the State Library at all
times which shall be convenient to the members of the
House of Delegates.

Which was read and referred to the Library Commit-
tee.

The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered
the following message :

BY THE SENATE,

January 14th, 1904.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates;

We propose with the concurrence of your Honorable
Body that when the General Assembly adjourns to-
day, it stands adjourned to meet Monday January
18th, next, at 7.30 p. m.

Secretary.
