this day's session on account of important business.

On motion of Mr. Pairo, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Godwin be excused from atten-
dance at to-day's session by reason of being a member
of the State Militia now iq active service.

Also,

Ordered, That Mr. Henkel be excused from atten-
dance on account of important business.

On motion of Mr. Dawkins, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Moore be excused from atten-
dance at this morning's session on account of business.

On motion of Mr. Oursler, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Fuss be excused from to-day's
session on account of sickness

On motion of Mr. Gibbs, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Atkinson be excused from at-
tendance at to-day's session on account of business.

On motion of Mr. Dennis, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Carey be excused from attend-
ance at to-day's session owing to illness.

On motion of Mr. Murphy, of Dorchester, it was
Ordered, That Dr. Jones be excused from to-day's
session on account of sickness.
Also,

Ordered, That Mr. Wingate be excused from to-
day's session on account of business.

On motion of Mr. Benson, it was .
Ordered, That Mr. Cockey be excused from to-day's
session, and from sessions chat he has been absent,
and, until he recovers on account of illness.

On motion of Mr. Norris, it was
Ordered, That Messrs. Goslin and Wells and all
others absent be excused from to-day's session on ac-
count of important business.

On motion of Mr. Hall, it was

Ordered, That his Excellency Edwin Warfield, Gov-
ernor of Maryland, be and he is hereby authorized,
and requested to issue co each member of the General
