ries, and also the blanks upon which their returns are
to be made. The said supervisors shall have said
ballots printed in accordance with the provisions of
the preceding section; each of said ballots shall be
signed by, or stamped, with a fac simile of the signa-
ture of the president of the Board of Supervisors of
Election: the said ballots shall then be put up in
sealed packages, one package for each of said political
parties, in each of the election precincts of said county;
each of such packages shall contain three ballots for
each voter of said party in the precinct for which
such package is intended. The number of ballots
shall be determined at the first election held here-
under by a certificate to be furnished by the govern-
ing body of each of said parties and thereafter by the
poll-book of the lastpreceding primary election. The
packages of ballots for each precinct, prepared as
aforesaid, together with the ballot boxes, registry
books and necessary blanks for each precinct, shall be
delivered to the return judge of each precint at least
two clays before the date of said primary election.
"Sec. 5 1/2. The return judge for each election precinct
shall deliver the returns of the said primary election
in said precinct to the Board of Supervisors of Election
at Rockville on the Tuesday succeeding the date of
said primaries. The Election Supervisors shall on
that day tabulate the vote and certify the result
to the governing bodies of the political parties.
"Sec. 6. To prevent voters belonging to or acting
with one political party from inadvertently or inten-
tionally casting their ballots for candidates for nomi-
nation or for election as delegates to any nominating
convention of any other party, the ballots of said
party shall be printed upon paper of different colors,
and until after the next general registration every per-
son offering to vote shall be required to state to which
party he belongs and the candidate of which party he
intends to vote for at the State or county election, and
he shall be supplied only with the official ballot pre-
pared for the candidates of such party.
"Sec. 7. The polls shall be opened at nine o'clock,
a. m. and closed at 6 o'clock, p. m., on the day fixed
