agree on a day for holding said primary elections, they
shall be held on the first Saturday in August in the
year 1905, and biennially thereafter; and if no notice is
received by said Supervisors of Election then it shall
be the duty of said Board of Supervisors of Elections at
least fif teen days before the first Saturday in August in
the year 1905, and biennially thereafter, to select four
judges, two of whom shall be designated ballot judges
for that purpose and shall perform the duties herein-
after required of them as ballot judges, and two clerks,
taking two of said judges and one of said clerks from
each of the said political parties to act as judges and
clerks in the primaries to be held in each election pre-
cinct of the county, and the said Board of Supervisors
of Election shall give notice by publication of the
names of all of said judges and clerks and the precinct
for which they are selected by causing the same to be
published by two insertions in at least two of the
weekly newspapers printed in Montgomery county,
one of said papers, if possible, being of the opposite
political faith from that of a majority of said Board
of Supervisors of Election.
"Sec. 3. Said Board of Supervisors of Election in
appointing the judges and clerks, and in the notice
thereof, shall designate the persons intended by them
to represent the said political parties respectively;
one challenger and one watcher, representing each of
the political parties, shall be allowed to be present at
the several voting places during the voting and count-
ing of the ballots, said challengers and watchers to be
appointed by the governing body of each of the poli-
tical parties.
"Sec. 4. The form of the ballot with the name of
candidates for the several offices to he filled or dele-
gates to be voted for, shall be furnished by the gov-
erning bodies of said political parties to the said
Supervisors of Election at least fifteen days before the
day upon which said primary is held, and shall be
published at least one time in two or more papers
printed in said county.
"Sec. 5. The Supervisors of Election shall furnish
to the judges all the ballots to be used in said prima-
