ported unfavorably the following order:

Ordered, That the Chief Clerk of this House be
directed to purchase a sufficient number of fountain
pens to supply one to each member and officer of this
House.

Corporations be empowered to employ a clerk and a
stenographer for the use of the committee.

tions be empowered to employ a clerk; and that said
chairman be also empowered to employ a stenographer
for the use of said committee, said stenographer also
to serve the Committee on Ways and Means and to
furnish his or her own typewriter, said stenographer
to be paid at the rate of $5 per day without mileage,
pay to commence from commencement of service."
