     The Grand Jury men this day delivers into Court these following Presentments. (viz)

        Wee of the sd Jury doe present Mary Swaine for Sabbath breaking & Swearing. Wm. Stevenson Informer

        Wee also present Henry: Bishopp for killing hoggs Contrary to Law mr John: Goddin Informer

        Wee also present Thomas: Porter for killing tenn Wild hoggs upon mr ffra: Jenckins Land & ye Lords Prop-

        Contrary to Law Cornelius Anderson Informer . ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

              Upon which prsentmts aforesd the Court Orders Precess thereon. Grand Jury is dismist

        


 

        John: Perkins         The Said Blades being taken by vertue of a Warrant dated ye 12th day of this Instant

             Contra                  } March & this day brought before the Justices where sd Blades was Convict for

        Robert: Blades       Curseing & Swearing &ca by ye Oath of sd Perkins. Therefore it was Ordered by

        ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~      this Court that Sd Blades give Security for his good behaviour. But upon his Submission

                                                      it was remitted payings fees - - - - - — — — —

         


 

        John: Perkins.                       Maryland Somerset County Ss

              Contra             }            Whereas John: Perkins of Pocomoke in ye County aforesd Planter Complaineth this day

        Owen Touther                  to witt ye 12th: of March 1693/4 that Owen Tuther his Servant, did the last Sunday in

        ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ 

January absent him Self & Run away from his Said Masters Service, Notwithstanding being a litle before by a Justice

of the Peace for this County Ordered into his Said Masters Service, he is a Short black haird man with a Grey Kersey Coat

with a white paire of Irish Stockings & a black hatt a paire of french falls & a White Shirt & a leather pr of breeches

These are therefore in their Maties Names to will & require as also Strictly to Charge & Comand yw or any of yw to whome this

Shall Come to levy Hue & Cry & prsue & follow after the sd Servant till he shall be found & when found to dispose of

for his Said Master, according to Act of Assembly And thereof yw are not to faile, as yw will answer ye Contrary at yr peril

given under my hand & Seal this day & year abovesd - - - - - - - - - - - ffrancis: Jenckins ❂ Sealed

This to goe up Pocomoke River from house

to house as high as Robert Blades —               } Evidences Sworn in Court agt Tuther were Anthon. Bell & Thomas Dixon

    The premises being Considerd it is this Courts Opinion that sd Owen Tuther is servant to Sd Perkins for 12 months according

to Contract made with sd Perkins. Order granted sd Perkins for twenty dayes runaway time according to Act of Assembly viz 20

days But sd Perkins promises in Court that if sd Tuther doe well & faithfully Serve his Contractor time that then he the

Said Perkins will only have twenty dayes of sd Tuther & no more. //     Courts adjourned till tomorrow at 8: a Clock.

 



                                At a Court held by their Maties Justices of the Peace for the County of Somerset in the Province of Maryland

                                the 14th day of March Anno Domini 1693/4

 

        Comrs prsent                 mr ffrancis: Jenckins. Capt Wm Whittington mr Edmund Howard

                             mr Roger: Wolford. – } mr James: Round – } mr Stephen: Horsey } & Capt John King

        



              John: Tarr having attended four dayes for their Maties agt John: Pope Craves yr Worpps Order for

              the Same. March 14th. 1693/4 Sworn in Open Court before me Edmund Howard
