Upon Petion to the Worll. Court by William Stevenson. Who produced this following Bill (viz)
This Bill bindeth me Archibald White my Heirs Extors Admrs or Assigns to be justly indebted & owing to Rich.Stockly His Heirs Extors Admrs or Assigns, in the just & full Sum of Six hundred & twenty pounds of Good sound Mertable tobacco & Caske to Containe the Same, And that to be paid at betwixt or upon the tenth of Decemr next ensueing the date hereof at a Convenient Landing on the River of Pocomoke, in Witness whereof I have hereunto Sett my hand & Seal dated this Second day of Novber. 1691 . - - - - - - - - Arch: A W Whyt his marke ❂ Sealed Signed Sealed & delivered in prsence of. Michael: Clugston Peter: Dent. – } Know all men by these prsents that I Richard: Shockley do Assign & make Over, my right Title, Claime & interest – of this within mentioned Bill for 620lb: Of tobacco from me my Heirs or Extors unto William: Stevenson. or his Heirs Extors or Assigns. Mr Samuel: Alexander or Attorney of Pierce Bray, who marryed ye Extrix of ye Sd White decd, in Open Court Confest judgmt for four hundred pounds of tobacco to sd Stevenson. The humble Pertion of Peter Cannell Sheweth that whereas there is a Bill for five hundred pounds of Tobacco, due from ye Estate of James: Maynard deceased and Assigned me by John:Parker, as by the Bill here in Court will appear, Your Petioner Craves an Order for the Same for which favour Shall be bound to pray &ca
This Bill bindeth me James Maynard of Snow Hill of Somerset County Innholder my Heirs Extors Admrs or Assigns to pay or Cause to be paid unto John: Dyer of Sussex County annexed to Pennsilvania Planter the just & full Sum of five hundred pounds of good Sufficient Merchantable Tobacco & Caske, to him his Heirs Extors Admrs or Lawfull Attorney
at Snow hill aforesd on the tenth of October next ensueing the date hereof, as Witness my hand & Seal this 31th of August 1692. James: Maynard. ❂ Sealed Witness prsent. John:ffawsett The abovesd Petion & Bill being read in Court. Same day aforesd mr Dent Attorney Sm: Alexander for ye Admrx of ye decd Ja Maynard Confest judgmt. for ye Sum mentioned (viz)500lb tob. he the said Cannell allowing what might be by him Owing upon sd Maynards Book justly Stated.
